ElevenLabs / Turn text into speech (audio file)

Reads text aloud with an ElevenLabs voice and returns an MP3 or Opus download (media.downloadPath). Send text (up to 5,000 characters); voiceid, modelid and output_format are optional. For per-character timings (captions), use elevenlabs-text-to-speech.

language_code body · optional
Optional ISO 639-1 language code, for example en or fr.
model_id body · optional
Voice model. eleven_multilingual_v2 and eleven_v3 cost $0.08 per 1,000 characters; eleven_flash_v2_5 and eleven_turbo_v2_5 cost $0.04. Defaults to eleven_multilingual_v2.
text body · required
The words to speak, up to 5,000 characters (the eleven_v3 limit, the lowest of the four models).
voice_settings body · optional
Optional: stability, similarity_boost, style, use_speaker_boost, speed.
output_format query · optional
Audio format. Defaults to mp3_22050_32; mp3_44100_64 gives better quality.
