Question 1

Can an agent replace research tools?

Accepted Answer

For many jobs, yes. This page lists 9 research apps and shows for each one which jobs an agent covers through looot endpoints, which it covers partly and which it does not.

Question 2

Which research apps are on this page?

Accepted Answer

Similarweb, BuiltWith, Crunchbase, SparkToro and more. Each has its own page with the jobs, the providers and the cheapest live price.

Question 3

How is the verdict for a research app scored?

Accepted Answer

Each job counts 1 when covered, 0.5 when partly covered and 0 when not covered. 85 percent and up is yes, 40 percent and up is kinda, anything lower is not really.

Question 4

What do research replacements cost?

Accepted Answer

You pay per call, with no monthly seat. Each app page shows the cheapest live price per job, and says price on request when no priced endpoint exists.

Question 5

Why is a research job marked not covered?

Accepted Answer

Either the catalog has no priced endpoint for it right now, or the job is a hosted feature such as a dashboard or a mailbox that an agent cannot reach through data endpoints.

Question 6

How do I start with a research replacement?

Accepted Answer

Open an app page, copy the agent prompt, and paste it into the agent you already use after you set up looot from https://looot.ai/skill.md.
