# LinkedIn Ad Library API for your agent

LinkedIn Ad Library API for an agent: it sends a company or a keyword to a catalog endpoint and reads ad headline, description and ad type back. Several providers sell the call, so the agent tries the cheapest first. You pay per call, and a failed call costs nothing.

## What this does

LinkedIn is where B2B brands spend, and its Ad Library lists the ads they run. Your agent searches it by company or keyword and reads the headline, the description and the ad type of each. It shows which firms target your buyers and what they say.

The five endpoints split between the library search and the company view. Four search by keyword, company name or company ID, most with country and date filters. One starts from a company's domain or LinkedIn page ID and lists what that company runs. One provider accepts impression ranges and a payer filter, which narrows the list to ads that reached many people.

You give: a company or a keyword. Example: data warehouse.

## What differs between providers

- Scrape Creators API (scrapecreators-linkedin-ads-search): searches by company name, keyword or company ID with country and date filters, and returns the headline, description and ad type.
- Any Site API (anysite-api-linkedin-ad-library-ads-search): searches by keyword or company IDs, with payer, country, date and impression-range filters, and bills per result.
- SearchApi (searchapi-io-linkedin-ad-library): searches by query, advertiser or country with a time period, and returns the ad type, advertiser and content.
- Adyntel (adyntel-linkedin): lists a company's ads from its domain or LinkedIn page ID, with the creative type and the commentary.
- Adyntel (adyntel-linkedin-keyword-search): runs a keyword search in the LinkedIn Ad Library with optional country and date filters.

## Before you start

- Keep dates inside the window. LinkedIn accepts dates from one year ago through yesterday on one provider here, and a custom range needs both a start and an end.
- Search by company ID when you have it. A name can match many pages, and the ID goes straight to the advertiser.
- Read the ad type. Single image, video, carousel and message ads behave differently, and the type field tells you which.

## Prompt

Use looot to search the LinkedIn Ad Library for the keyword data warehouse and return the advertiser, headline, description and ad type for each ad. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. Search the catalog for each step and check its price before you call. 3. Run the cheapest endpoint that fits. 4. Show the results as a table and the total cost.

## Steps and providers

- Search the ad library: scrapecreators, anysite, searchapi-io, adyntel. 1 call per search.

## What comes back

- Ad headline and description
- Ad type
- Advertiser
- Call to action
- Dates

## The request and what comes back

Each run is one POST to /v1/runs with an endpoint id and an input. These are illustrative calls with generic values. The run's result holds the provider's own fields.

- Scrape Creators API: {"endpointId":"scrapecreators-linkedin-ads-search","input":{"keyword":"data warehouse"},"wait":30}
- Any Site API: {"endpointId":"anysite-api-linkedin-ad-library-ads-search","input":{"keyword":"data warehouse","count":10},"wait":30}

## How do I search the LinkedIn Ad Library through an API?

Send a keyword or a company to a LinkedIn ad endpoint. Your agent returns the ads with the advertiser, the headline and the description.

## Can I see the ads of one company?

Yes. One provider lists a company's ads from its domain or LinkedIn page ID, and the search endpoints accept a company name or ID.

## Can I filter by country and date?

Yes, on the providers that support it. The endpoint pages list the filters. One limits dates to the last year, from one year ago through yesterday.

## Does it show how many people saw an ad?

One provider filters by impression range, which narrows the list to ads in a chosen reach band. LinkedIn does not publish exact spend for ordinary ads.

## How much does one search cost?

You pay per call, and the price depends on the provider your agent picks. This page reads the cheapest live price from the catalog and shows no number when the catalog is unreachable.

## Do I pay when a linkedin ad library call fails?

No. A call that fails at the provider costs nothing, and your agent can retry it or send it to another provider.

## Do I need an account with each linkedin ad library provider?

No. One looot key reaches every provider in the catalog. You top up once, and each call is billed at the price shown before it runs.

## How do I call linkedin ad library from code?

Send a POST to /v1/runs with the endpoint id, the input and a new idempotency key, and your looot token in the Authorization header. With wait set to 30, the answer comes back in the response when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

## Can I run linkedin ad library on a schedule?

That needs scheduled runs, not available yet. Run it by hand whenever you want fresh results.

## Do I pay while my agent is idle?

No. looot bills per call, and nothing runs while your agent is idle.
