# Google Ads Transparency API for your agent

Google Ads Transparency API for an agent: it sends a company domain or an advertiser name to a catalog endpoint and reads ad creatives, ad format and target domains back. Several providers sell the call, so the agent tries the cheapest first. You pay per call, and a failed call costs nothing.

## What this does

Google's Ads Transparency Center lists the ads an advertiser runs across Search, Display and YouTube. Your agent sends a company domain and reads back the creatives with their format and the dates they were shown. It shows what a competitor pushes on Google, without a login or a tool seat.

Two of the providers start from a domain. Others start from the advertiser: one searches for an advertiser by name and returns an advertiser ID with the region and the domains, and the ID then looks up the ads. Another returns the paid search ads Google shows for a keyword, and one returns Google Shopping ads.

You give: a company domain or an advertiser name. Example: nike.com.

## What differs between providers

- Adyntel (adyntel-google): lists the Google ads a company runs across search, display and YouTube from its domain, with media type and a continuation token.
- SearchApi (searchapi-io-google-ads-transparency-center): looks up ads by advertiser ID or domain and returns the format, the target domains, the show dates and the advertiser details.
- Scrape Creators API (scrapecreators-google-adlibrary-advertisers-search): searches advertisers by name and returns the advertiser ID, region and website domains, which you then use to look up ads.
- DataForSEO (dataforseo-google-ads-search-advanced): returns the paid search ads Google shows, as live tasks.
- DataForSEO (dataforseo-google-ads-advertisers-advanced): searches advertisers in the Transparency Center, as live tasks.
- Adyntel (adyntel-google-shopping): lists the Google Shopping ads a company runs, and needs shopping set to true.

## Before you start

- Use the domain when you have it. A name can match several advertisers, and the search returns an advertiser ID for each.
- Pick the region. The advertiser search defaults to the US when you leave the region out.
- Separate the ad types. Search, display, video and shopping ads read differently, so ask for the format you plan to analyze.

## Prompt

Use looot to list the Google ads nike.com runs in the United States, with the format, the dates shown and the domain each one points at. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. Search the catalog for each step and check its price before you call. 3. Run the cheapest endpoint that fits. 4. Show the results as a table and the total cost.

## Steps and providers

- Fetch the ads: adyntel, searchapi-io, scrapecreators, dataforseo. 1 call per company.

## What comes back

- Ad creatives
- Ad format
- Target domains
- Dates shown
- Advertiser details

## The request and what comes back

Each run is one POST to /v1/runs with an endpoint id and an input. These are illustrative calls with generic values. The run's result holds the provider's own fields.

- Adyntel: {"endpointId":"adyntel-google","input":{"company_domain":"nike.com"},"wait":30}
- SearchApi: {"endpointId":"searchapi-io-google-ads-transparency-center","input":{"domain":"nike.com","region":"US"},"wait":30}

## How do I see what ads a company runs on Google?

Send the company's domain to a Google ads endpoint. Your agent returns the creatives with their format and the dates they were shown, from the Ads Transparency Center.

## Can I find an advertiser by name?

Yes. One provider searches advertisers by name and returns an advertiser ID, a region and the domains linked to it. Use the ID in the next call to get the ads.

## Does it include YouTube ads?

Yes, on the provider that lists search, display and YouTube ads for a domain. Check the endpoint page for the formats the one you use returns.

## Can I see Google Shopping ads?

Yes. One endpoint here lists the Shopping ads a company runs. It needs a shopping flag set to true in the input.

## Does it show ad spend?

No. The Transparency Center shows what ran and when, not what it cost. For ordinary commercial ads there is no public spend figure.

## How much does one company cost?

You pay per call, and the price depends on the provider your agent picks. This page reads the cheapest live price from the catalog and shows no number when the catalog is unreachable.

## Do I pay when a google ads transparency call fails?

No. A call that fails at the provider costs nothing, and your agent can retry it or send it to another provider.

## Do I need an account with each google ads transparency provider?

No. One looot key reaches every provider in the catalog. You top up once, and each call is billed at the price shown before it runs.

## How do I call google ads transparency from code?

Send a POST to /v1/runs with the endpoint id, the input and a new idempotency key, and your looot token in the Authorization header. With wait set to 30, the answer comes back in the response when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

## Can I run google ads transparency on a schedule?

That needs scheduled runs, not available yet. Run it by hand whenever you want fresh results.

## Do I pay while my agent is idle?

No. looot bills per call, and nothing runs while your agent is idle.
