# Creator search API for your agent

Creator search API for an agent: it sends a niche keyword to a catalog endpoint and reads handle, display name and follower count back. Several providers sell the call, so the agent tries the cheapest first. You pay per call, and a failed call costs nothing.

## What this does

A creator search finds the accounts that post about a niche. Your agent sends a keyword such as vegan recipes and reads back the handles, the follower counts and the profile links. That is the first pass of an influencer list, before anyone checks the fit by hand.

The providers cover different platforms. Two search TikTok accounts. One searches Instagram, in a best-effort way, from keywords found in Google-indexed profile pages, bios and captions. One searches X users and one searches YouTube channels. Run the same keyword on several and merge the lists.

You give: a niche keyword. Example: vegan recipes.

## What differs between providers

- AnyAPI (anyapi-run-tiktok-search-users): searches TikTok accounts by keyword and returns the handle, nickname and follower count, with cursor paging.
- Scrape Creators API (scrapecreators-instagram-search-profiles): discovers creators from keywords in Google-indexed Instagram bios, profile pages and captions, and marks how each one matched.
- TikHub (tikhub-api-tiktok-web-fetch-search-user): searches TikTok users by keyword and pages with a cursor and a search ID.
- Any Site API (anysite-api-twitter-search-users): searches X users by query with a count.
- TikHub (tikhub-api-youtube-web-v2-search-channels): searches YouTube channels by keyword, with a continuation token.

## Before you start

- Search the niche in the words creators use. Bios and captions are written by the creator, not by a marketer.
- Treat the Instagram result as best effort. It matches on what Google indexed, so it misses accounts that Google never crawled.
- Check fit by hand. Follower count says reach and nothing about audience, so open a few profiles before you reach out.

## Prompt

Use looot to find creators who post about vegan recipes on TikTok and Instagram, and return the handle, follower count and profile link for each, biggest first. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. Search the catalog for each step and check its price before you call. 3. Run the cheapest endpoint that fits. 4. Show the results as a table and the total cost.

## Steps and providers

- Search creators: anyapi, scrapecreators, tikhub, anysite. 1 call per search.

## What comes back

- Handle and display name
- Follower count
- Bio
- Profile link
- Platform

## The request and what comes back

Each run is one POST to /v1/runs with an endpoint id and an input. These are illustrative calls with generic values. The run's result holds the provider's own fields.

- AnyAPI: {"endpointId":"anyapi-run-tiktok-search-users","input":{"query":"vegan recipes"},"wait":30}
- Scrape Creators API: {"endpointId":"scrapecreators-instagram-search-profiles","input":{"query":"vegan recipes"},"wait":30}

## How do I find creators by keyword?

Send a niche keyword to a user-search endpoint for each platform. Your agent merges the results into one list with handle, followers and profile link.

## Which platforms can I search?

TikTok, Instagram, X and YouTube, through different endpoints. The notes above say which provider covers which one.

## Can I see follower counts?

Yes on one of the TikTok searches, which returns the follower count with the handle. For the other platforms, your agent fetches the profile of each match.

## Does it find email addresses?

Not directly. Once you have a handle, a profile lookup may show a contact link, and the email-finder jobs on looot can take it from there.

## How accurate is the Instagram search?

It is best effort. It works from keywords found in Google-indexed profile pages, bios and captions, so it can miss accounts. Use it to discover, not to count.

## How much does one search cost?

You pay per call, and the price depends on the provider your agent picks. This page reads the cheapest live price from the catalog and shows no number when the catalog is unreachable.

## Do I pay when a creator search call fails?

No. A call that fails at the provider costs nothing, and your agent can retry it or send it to another provider.

## Do I need an account with each creator search provider?

No. One looot key reaches every provider in the catalog. You top up once, and each call is billed at the price shown before it runs.

## How do I call creator search from code?

Send a POST to /v1/runs with the endpoint id, the input and a new idempotency key, and your looot token in the Authorization header. With wait set to 30, the answer comes back in the response when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

## Can I run creator search on a schedule?

That needs scheduled runs, not available yet. Run it by hand whenever you want fresh results.

## Do I pay while my agent is idle?

No. looot bills per call, and nothing runs while your agent is idle.
