# Person enrichment API for your agent

Person enrichment API for an agent: it sends an email, a LinkedIn profile, or a name and a company to a catalog endpoint and reads full name, title and employer back. Several providers sell the call, so the agent tries the cheapest first. You pay per call, and a failed call costs nothing.

## What this does

Enrichment turns a thin record into a full one. You hold an email or a profile link, and you want the name, the employer, the title and the location behind it. Your agent sends what it has, and the provider returns the best matching record.

The depth of the record is where the providers part ways. A light lookup returns a name, a role and some handles for a few thousandths of a dollar. A full profile with education, past jobs and contact fields costs far more. Pick the depth the next step needs, not the deepest one on offer.

You give: an email, a LinkedIn profile, or a name and a company. Example: jane.doe@example.com.

## What differs between providers

- Hunter (hunter-people-find): takes an email or a LinkedIn handle and returns name, employer, role, seniority, location, bio and social handles.
- Tomba (tomba-people-find): takes an email and returns the name, location and social handles such as Twitter.
- FullEnrich (fullenrich-api-people-lookup): matches one person by profile URL or id, or by name with a company domain, and charges only when a person is found.
- Prospeo (prospeo-enrich-person): takes a name with a company, an email or a LinkedIn URL, and can add a verified mobile number; free when nothing matches.
- Aviato (aviato-person-enrich): takes one identifier and returns the name, profile URLs and whether a work or personal email exists.
- People Data Labs (people-data-labs-person-enrich): returns the deepest record, with experience, education and locations, and lets you set how sure the match must be.

## Before you start

- Send the most specific identifier you hold. An email or a profile URL matches more reliably than a name alone.
- Decide the minimum fields you need. A cheap lookup answers who someone is and where they work, which covers most routing and scoring.
- Keep the match likelihood. Where a provider reports one, store it with the record so a weak match does not pass as a sure one.

## Prompt

Use looot to enrich jane.doe@example.com: return the full name, current employer, job title, seniority and location, and keep only fields the provider is sure about. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. Search the catalog for each step and check its price before you call. 3. Run the cheapest endpoint that fits. 4. Show the results as a table and the total cost.

## Steps and providers

- Enrich the person: hunter, tomba, fullenrich, prospeo, aviato, people-data-labs. 1 call per person.

## What comes back

- Full name and title
- Employer and seniority
- Location
- Social profiles
- Education and experience

## The request and what comes back

Each run is one POST to /v1/runs with an endpoint id and an input. These are illustrative calls with generic values. The run's result holds the provider's own fields.

- Hunter: {"endpointId":"hunter-people-find","input":{"email":"jane.doe@example.com"},"wait":30}
- Tomba: {"endpointId":"tomba-people-find","input":{"email":"jane.doe@example.com"},"wait":30}

## About privacy rules

looot returns data from providers and does not give legal advice. Check the data protection rules that apply to you before you store or use personal data.

## What is person enrichment?

It adds fields you lack to a person you already know, such as the employer, the job title and the location. You start from an email or a profile link and end with a fuller record.

## Which identifier gives the best match?

A LinkedIn profile URL or a work email, in most cases. A bare name is the weakest input, because many people share one. Add the company when you can.

## Do I pay when no person matches?

Most providers here do not bill a lookup that matches nobody. Two of them state it on their page. A call that fails at the provider costs you nothing.

## How deep is the record I get back?

It depends on the provider. A light lookup returns a name, a role and social handles. The deepest returns experience, education and several contact fields. The notes above say which is which.

## Can I enrich a list from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Give your agent the file and name the identifier column. It runs one lookup per row and returns the filled table with the total cost.

## How much does one person cost?

You pay per call, and the price depends on the provider your agent picks. This page reads the cheapest live price from the catalog and shows no number when the catalog is unreachable.

## Do I pay when a person enrichment call fails?

No. A call that fails at the provider costs nothing, and your agent can retry it or send it to another provider.

## Do I need an account with each person enrichment provider?

No. One looot key reaches every provider in the catalog. You top up once, and each call is billed at the price shown before it runs.

## How do I call person enrichment from code?

Send a POST to /v1/runs with the endpoint id, the input and a new idempotency key, and your looot token in the Authorization header. With wait set to 30, the answer comes back in the response when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

## Can I run person enrichment on a schedule?

That needs scheduled runs, not available yet. Run it by hand whenever you want fresh results.

## Do I pay while my agent is idle?

No. looot bills per call, and nothing runs while your agent is idle.
