# Amazon product details API for your agent

Amazon product details API for an agent: it sends an ASIN or a product URL to a catalog endpoint and reads title, brand and price back. Several providers sell the call, so the agent tries the cheapest first. You pay per call, and a failed call costs nothing.

## What this does

An ASIN identifies one product on Amazon. Your agent sends it and reads back the listing: the title, the brand, the price, the rating, the features and the seller. That is the data a price tracker, a catalog check or a competitor review needs, without a scraper to maintain.

Three providers return the listing and they take different inputs. One takes the ASIN with a marketplace domain and a delivery country and postal code, which sets the price and availability for that destination. One takes the ASIN or a product URL. One takes the product URL and returns the best-seller rank and variants through Bright Data's scraper.

You give: an ASIN or a product URL. Example: B09B8V1LZ3.

## What differs between providers

- SearchApi (searchapi-io-amazon-product): takes an ASIN with a marketplace domain, delivery country and postal code, and returns title, pricing, reviews and specifications.
- Any Site API (anysite-api-amazon-products): takes an ASIN or a product URL and returns title, brand, price, images, rating, features, specifications, variations, seller and availability.
- Bright Data (brightdata-amazon-product): takes a product URL and returns title, brand, price, rating, review count, best-seller rank, features, images, variants and seller.

## Before you start

- Set the marketplace and the delivery country. Price and stock on Amazon depend on where the item ships, and a default may not match your market.
- Keep the ASIN, not the URL, as your key. URLs carry tracking text, and the ASIN is the stable id.
- For reviews, use the reviews endpoint. The product call gives the rating and the count, and a separate endpoint returns the review text.

## Prompt

## The request and what comes back

Each run is one POST to /v1/runs with an endpoint id and an input. These are illustrative calls with generic values. The run's result holds the provider's own fields.

- SearchApi: {"endpointId":"searchapi-io-amazon-product","input":{"asin":"B09B8V1LZ3","amazon_domain":"amazon.com"},"wait":30}
- Any Site API: {"endpointId":"anysite-api-amazon-products","input":{"asin":"B09B8V1LZ3"},"wait":30}

## How do I get Amazon product details by ASIN?

Send the ASIN to a product endpoint. Your agent reads back the title, the price, the rating, the features and the seller as JSON.

## Can I set the country or marketplace?

Yes, on the providers that take a domain and a delivery country. Price and availability change with the destination, so state the one you want.

## Can I get the reviews as well?

The product call returns the rating and the review count. For the review text, use an Amazon reviews endpoint from the catalog, and ask your agent to show its price first.

## Can I search Amazon by keyword?

Yes. The catalog has Amazon search and best-seller endpoints from several providers, listed on their tool pages. The search returns products you then look up by ASIN.

## Does it return the best-seller rank?

One provider here lists it in its output. For the other two, check the endpoint page when rank matters.

## How much does one product cost?

You pay per call, and the price depends on the provider your agent picks. This page reads the cheapest live price from the catalog and shows no number when the catalog is unreachable.

## Do I pay when a amazon product details call fails?

No. A call that fails at the provider costs nothing, and your agent can retry it or send it to another provider.

## Do I need an account with each amazon product details provider?

No. One looot key reaches every provider in the catalog. You top up once, and each call is billed at the price shown before it runs.

## How do I call amazon product details from code?

Send a POST to /v1/runs with the endpoint id, the input and a new idempotency key, and your looot token in the Authorization header. With wait set to 30, the answer comes back in the response when the run ends within 30 seconds. Otherwise poll GET /v1/runs/<runId>.

## Can I run amazon product details on a schedule?

That needs scheduled runs, not available yet. Run it by hand whenever you want fresh results.

## Do I pay while my agent is idle?

No. looot bills per call, and nothing runs while your agent is idle.
