SE Ranking Data API / Analyze keyword overlap and gaps

Analyzes and compares the keyword rankings of two websites using either domains or full URLs. It can find keywords they have in common or identify a ‘keyword gap’— keywords for which one site ranks, but the other does not. This is useful for competitive analysis and identifying ranking opportunities. Cost at SE Ranking: 100 credits per request.

Request parameters

cols query · optional
Comma-separated list of response fields to include. If omitted, a default set of relevant columns is returned.
compare query · required
Competitor domain or full URL to compare against the primary domain or URL. Must match the type of the primary parameter (domain or url).
diff query · optional
Controls the comparison mode. Accepts values: 0, 1. See the section below for a detailed explanation.
domain query · optional
Primary domain for the comparison (e.g., booking.com).
limit query · optional
Maximum number of keywords to return per page (e.g., 50). Accepts values from 1 to 1000.
order_field query · optional
Field by which results are sorted:• keyword• volume• cpc• competition• difficulty• position
order_type query · optional
Sorting order:• asc – ascending• desc – descending
page query · optional
Page number for paginated results when retrieving keywords (e.g., 1). Positive integer.
source query · required
Country code of the regional keyword database (e.g., us). For acceptable values, see Regional database codes.
type query · optional
Search traffic type for which data is retrieved:• organic – organic search traffic• adv – paid search traffic
url query · optional
Primary full URL for the comparison (e.g., https://www.booking.com).
