# LinkedIn data API for AI agents

looot lists the LinkedIn operations of several data providers in one catalog. An agent reads a public profile or company page by link, lists employees of a company, searches jobs, reads posts, finds a work email from a profile, or searches the LinkedIn ad library.

## Jobs an agent does

- Enrich a lead list from profile links before outreach.
- List employees of a target company by job title.
- Watch a company's job postings as a hiring signal.
- Read a competitor's company posts and rank them by reactions.
- Search the LinkedIn ad library for a brand's active ads.

## Operations by job

- Ad library: Ads from LinkedIn's public ad library, by advertiser, keyword or country.
- Work emails from a profile: A work email found from a profile link.
- Jobs: Job listings and the detail of one posting.
- Companies and employees: A company page, its headcount stats and the people who work there.
- People profiles: A member profile by link or id.
- Posts and comments: A single post or article, a company's posts and the comments under a post.

## How the providers differ

Providers differ in what the input is. Some want a profile or company URL, some a company name, and a few of the Anysite ones work from a LinkedIn URN. Job operations come in a full version with description and salary, and a cheap index version with title, company and date only. Choose by the fields your agent reads.

## Prompt

Use looot to read the public LinkedIn company page of example.com, list five employees with the title Head of Growth, and show every call's price before it runs. Setup is in skill.md.

## What LinkedIn data can an agent get through looot?

Public member profiles, company pages, employee lists with title filters, company posts, post comments, job listings and the LinkedIn ad library. Some operations also find a work email from a profile link.

## Do I need a LinkedIn account or a Sales Navigator seat?

No. Your agent calls the operations with a looot key. You do not log in to LinkedIn or share a session cookie.

## Can an agent post or send connection requests?

These operations read public data only. They do not post, connect or message.

## What is the difference between the two job operations?

The full one returns the description, salary and applicant count for each listing. The index one returns title, company, location, date and link, and costs less. Use the index to find, then the full one on the few you want.

## How do I list the employees of a company?

Use a company employees operation with the company name or LinkedIn URL. You can narrow by job title or keyword, and page through the results.

## What is a URN and why do some operations ask for it?

A URN is LinkedIn's internal id for a company or post. Some providers key their calls on it, and the input line on an operation says when it wants one.

## How does my agent call a LinkedIn operation?

It connects to looot once, searches the catalog for the job, reads the input fields and the price, then runs the operation. Setup takes one line from skill.md, and the same key works for every provider.

## How is a LinkedIn call billed?

Per call, at the price shown on this page for that operation. The agent sees the price before the run, and the run is recorded with its cost in your ledger.

## Where do I find the full input and output fields?

Each operation has a reference page on docs.looot.ai with its input fields, an example call and the response. The For agents card on this page links the cheapest ones.

## Are the prices on this page current?

They are read from the live looot catalog every few minutes, so they change when a provider changes its price. When the catalog cannot be read, the page shows no numbers.

## Which LinkedIn operation should I start with?

Start with the cheapest operation in the job you need, which is listed first in its group. Check that it returns the fields your agent reads, and switch to another provider if it does not.
