Pick the start and end dates at the top of this page. The result shows the work days, with weekend days and holidays counted apart. Both dates count by default, as in Excel NETWORKDAYS. ## How many work days are in 2026? 261 weekdays, Monday to Friday. Take out the 11 US federal holidays as observed and 250 are left. Set the dates to 2026-01-01 and 2026-12-31 and press Add US federal holidays to check. ## How do I add work days to a date? Switch to Add work days to a date, pick the start date and type the number. The start date is not counted, as in Excel WORKDAY, so 1 work day after a Friday is the Monday. A negative number counts back. ## Which holidays does it use? Only the ones in the holiday box. The Add US federal holidays button fills in the observed federal holidays for your dates, from 5 U.S.C. 6103: a holiday on a Saturday moves to the Friday, on a Sunday to the Monday. State and company holidays you add yourself. ## Can I change the weekend days? Yes. Click the days to mark them off. Friday and Saturday, or Sunday alone, work the same way as Saturday and Sunday. ## Is a business day the same as a work day? Usually, yes. Both mean a weekday that is not a public holiday. Banks and courts may also close on other days, so add those to the holiday box. ## Does it match Excel? With both dates counted it matches NETWORKDAYS.INTL for the same weekend days and holidays, and the add mode matches WORKDAY.INTL. An end date before the start gives a negative count, as Excel does. ## Is it free and private? Yes.
