## Are changefreq and priority still used?

Google says it ignores changefreq and priority and reads lastmod when it is accurate. The fields are optional here and left out by default.

## How many URLs can a sitemap have?

The sitemaps.org protocol allows up to 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed per file. The generator warns you when your list passes that count.

## Where do I put the sitemap file?

At the root of your site, for example https://example.com/sitemap.xml. Add a Sitemap line to your robots.txt so crawlers find it.

## Do all URLs need the same domain?
