# ROAS calculator: run it free, or from your agent

ROAS, break-even ROAS, profit after ads and ad cost of sale from revenue, spend and margin.

## Prompt

Use looot to work out the ROAS of my ad campaigns: [paste campaign name, revenue and spend for each]. My gross margin is [margin] percent. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. For each campaign, compute ROAS, break-even ROAS and profit after ads. 3. Flag every campaign below break-even. 4. Return one table sorted by profit.

## What it needs

Ad revenue, ad spend and gross margin

## What comes back

- ROAS as a ratio and a percent
- break-even ROAS for your margin
- profit or loss after ad spend
- ad cost of sale (ACoS)
- revenue needed to break even

## Endpoints and providers

None. The tool on the web page runs in the browser and calls no endpoint.

## What it costs

Nothing. The tool on the web page runs in the visitor's browser: no account, no API call and no limit per hour. The prompt above runs the same job from your own looot account with current data, billed per call.

## Judge a campaign

See if a campaign makes money after product cost, not just revenue.

## Set a target

Know the ROAS you must beat before you raise a budget.

## Compare channels

Put the numbers of two ad channels side by side on the same margin.

## Report faster

Copy the result line into a report or a message to your team.

## How do you calculate ROAS?

Divide the revenue from ads by what you spent on them. Revenue of 5,000 on a spend of 1,250 is a ROAS of 4, often written 4x or 400 percent.

## What is break-even ROAS?

The ROAS at which ads pay for themselves after product cost. It is 1 divided by your gross margin. At a 40 percent margin, break-even ROAS is 2.5.

## What is a good ROAS?

Any ROAS above your break-even ROAS makes a profit on the product sold. The right target depends on your margin, repeat purchases and what a customer is worth over time.

## What is the difference between ROAS and ROI?

ROAS compares revenue to ad spend. ROI compares profit to the whole cost. This calculator shows profit after ads, which is closer to ROI for the campaign.

## What is ACoS?

Ad cost of sale: ad spend divided by ad revenue, as a percent. It is ROAS turned upside down and is common on Amazon ads.

## Is this ROAS calculator free?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no account and no limit. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

## What if I leave the margin empty?

You still get ROAS and ACoS. Break-even ROAS and profit need a margin, so they show once you fill it in.
