## How do I check my Google ranking for a keyword?

Type the keyword and your domain in the box at the top of this page and run it. The tool reads the live Google results and tells you the organic position of your domain, or that it is not in the first three pages.

## Where do the results come from?

From a live Google search made through DataForSEO at the moment you run it, from a desktop in the United States, in English. Nothing comes from a stored index, so the position is the one Google showed for that search.

## Why is my rank different when I search myself?

Google changes results by location, device, language and your own search history. This tool searches from a neutral desktop in the United States, so it is closer to what a new visitor there sees.

## What is the difference between organic position and position on the page?

Organic position counts only the regular blue links. Position on the page counts every block Google shows, such as ads, AI overviews, videos and people also ask boxes, so it is the same or higher.

## How deep does it check?

The first three pages of Google results. Google shows about ten organic links per page, often fewer, so that is about the top 30. A domain further down shows as not found.

## Does it count subdomains?

Yes. A result on blog.example.com counts for example.com. The www prefix is ignored.

## Can I check many keywords at once?
