# Instagram location finder: run it free, or from your agent

Instagram location pages that match a place, with the location ID, post count and link, from Google's index.

## Prompt

Use looot to find the Instagram location IDs of these venues: [venue names and cities]. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. Find a Google search endpoint in the catalog and check its price. 3. Search site:instagram.com/explore/locations plus each venue name. 4. Read the location ID from each result link. 5. Return a table of venue, location name, location ID and link, and the total cost.

## What it needs

A place, venue or city name

## What comes back

- location name
- location id
- posts
- location link

## Endpoints and providers

- serper: serper-search

## What it costs

The tool on the web page runs live at no cost to you and is limited per hour. The results come from public data through looot. For heavier or repeated use, run the same job from your own looot account: looot bills per call and charges nothing while your agent is idle. The live price comes from the catalog and shows on the web page.

## Get a location ID

Copy the numeric ID that Instagram tools and scrapers ask for.

## Pick the right tag

One place often has several location pages. Compare their post counts and use the busiest.

## Research a venue

Open the location page to see what people post from a shop, hotel or event space.

## Map a whole list

Let your agent find the location ID for every venue in a sheet.

## How do I find an Instagram location ID?

Type the place in the box at the top of this page. Each row shows a location page with its numeric ID, the number in the link after /explore/locations/.

## Why does one place have several locations?

Anyone can create a location when they tag a post, so a popular place often has many pages with different spellings. The post count, when Google shows it, tells you which one people use most.

## Where do the results come from?

A Google search limited to instagram.com/explore/locations pages. The page never logs in to Instagram. A place Google has not indexed yet will not appear.

## Why is the post count empty for some rows?

The count comes from the text Google shows under the result. When Google shows no count, the cell stays empty rather than guessing.

## How many locations does a search return?

Up to 10, the first page of Google results. Add the city or the street to the place name to narrow it down.

## Can I search by coordinates?

Not on this page. It searches by name. Your agent can find an Instagram location endpoint that takes latitude and longitude in the looot catalog.

## Is this Instagram location finder free?

Yes. Each search on this page costs you nothing and is limited per hour. Your agent can run the same Google search endpoint on your own looot account at the per-call price shown above.

## How do I run this from an agent?

Copy the prompt above into your agent with the looot skill.md link. It searches each venue and returns the location IDs in a table.
