## How do I check if an email address is valid?

Type it in the box at the top of this page. The checker asks the mail server whether the mailbox exists, without sending an email, and shows the verdict with the reason.

## Is this email checker free?

Yes. Each check in the box costs you nothing and is limited per hour. For a list, your agent runs the same check from your own looot account at the per-call price shown above.

## Do you store the email addresses I check?

No. This page does not save or log the address you type. It is sent once to the verification provider through looot to run the check, and only the verdict comes back to your browser.

## What does catch-all mean?

The domain accepts mail for any address, so the server will not say whether this one mailbox exists. A catch-all address may work or may bounce. Treat it as risky.

## What is the difference between an email checker and an email verifier?

None here. Both names describe the same job: asking the mail server whether the mailbox exists before you send. This page covers both.

## Why does a real address show as unknown?

Some mail servers do not answer clearly, or slow down checks on purpose. Unknown means the server gave no yes or no. Try again later or treat it as risky.

## Can I verify a list of emails in bulk?
