# AI model comparison: run it free, or from your agent

A sortable table of AI models by input price, output price and context size, from a dated model list.

## Prompt

Use looot to compare AI models for my job: [describe the job, the context size you need and your budget]. 1. Set up https://looot.ai/skill.md. 2. Run the OpenRouter model list endpoint to read today's prices and context sizes. 3. Keep the models that fit my context size. 4. Return a table sorted by cost for my token mix, with the date of the prices.

## What it needs

Optional filters: provider, context size, search

## What comes back

- model id and name
- input price per million tokens
- output price per million tokens
- context length
- the date the prices were read

## Endpoints and providers

None. The tool on the web page runs in the browser and calls no endpoint.

## What it costs

Nothing. The tool on the web page runs in the visitor's browser: no account, no API call and no limit per hour. The prompt above runs the same job from your own looot account with current data, billed per call.

## Shortlist models

Filter to the context size you need and sort by price.

## Spot price gaps

See where two models with the same context differ several times in price.

## Export the table

Download the filtered rows as CSV for a spreadsheet or a doc.

## Brief your agent

Paste the CSV into a prompt so the agent picks from current prices.

## Which AI model is the cheapest?

Sort the table by input or output price. Which one is cheapest for you depends on your mix of input and output tokens, so try the LLM token cost calculator with your own numbers.

## Where do the prices come from?

From the OpenRouter model list, read through looot on the date printed under the table. Prices change, so check that date before you quote a number.

## Does the table rank models by quality?

No. It lists price and context size only. Test models on your own tasks before you pick one.

## What is a context window?

The most tokens a model can take in one call, prompt and history included. The table lists it in tokens.

## What are the batch rows?

Batch variants of the same model at a lower price for jobs that can wait. They are hidden by default. Tick Show batch variants to see them.

## Does it show image or audio support?

No. The snapshot has prices and context sizes only, so modalities are not in the table.

## How often is the table updated?

Each time the snapshot is refreshed from the live list. The read date is printed on the page. For today's prices, copy the prompt and let your agent read the list through looot.

## Is the comparison free?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no account and no limit.
