# ZoomInfo and Apollo alternatives for agents: which data jobs move and which do not

Looking for ZoomInfo alternatives or Apollo alternatives? Which data jobs an agent running looot takes over, and which still need seats, a CRM or sequences.

## Summary

ZoomInfo and Apollo are bundles. Each one sells a contact database, search, and tools around the data. When people look for ZoomInfo alternatives or Apollo alternatives, they often want to replace one part of the bundle and not the rest.

That is the right way to look at it. This post splits the bundle into jobs and says which ones an agent running looot takes over and which ones it does not. We compare coverage only. We say nothing about price or quality of either vendor.

## The data jobs that move to an agent

These jobs are calls: you send an input and get data back. An agent does that well, and the looot catalog has priced endpoints for each.

| Job | ZoomInfo page | Apollo page |
|---|---|---|
| Enrich company data | Covered | Covered |
| Search people by title | Covered | Covered |
| Find phone numbers | Covered | Covered |
| Find work emails | Not on that page | Covered |
| Technology data | Partly, depends on provider and company | Not on that page |

The full tables, with providers behind each row, are on the [Can I replace ZoomInfo](https://looot.ai/can-i-replace/zoominfo) and [Can I replace Apollo](https://looot.ai/can-i-replace/apollo) pages. If you want the wider list, see [ZoomInfo alternatives](https://looot.ai/alternatives/zoominfo) and [Apollo alternatives](https://looot.ai/alternatives/apollo).

## The jobs that do not move

These jobs are not data calls. They are product features that live inside the vendor's app. looot does not offer them, and we say so plainly.

| Job | Where it lives | What an agent can do |
|---|---|---|
| Email sequences | Apollo | Nothing. looot does not send campaigns or track replies |
| Built-in dialer | Apollo | Nothing. looot has no calling or call recording |
| Buyer intent signals | ZoomInfo | Nothing. No provider in the catalog sells intent data |
| Org charts | ZoomInfo | Returns people lists, not a maintained org chart |
| Seats and shared team workspace | Both | Nothing. Your agent returns data to you |
| CRM sync | Both | Your agent writes to the CRM with its own tools |

Warning: If your team lives in the vendor's app, with sequences, a dialer and a shared view, an agent does not replace that. It can replace the data behind it.

## How to split the bundle

Take each feature you use and put it in one of two piles.

- Pile one is data you pull: contacts, company facts, phone numbers, technology. An agent can run these as calls.
- Pile two is work done in the app: sending, calling, shared lists, reporting, CRM sync. These stay where they are, or move to a tool built for them.

If pile two is empty for you, you may not need the bundle. If it is large, you may keep the app and still use an agent to fill it with data from other sources.

## Seats versus calls

Per-seat tools charge by the number of people who log in. An agent has no seat. It calls endpoints and you pay for the calls. That fits when one person or one agent does the pulling and others only read the result. It fits less when ten salespeople each need to search all day.

We make no claim about what either vendor charges. Work out your own numbers: what you pay today divided by the rows you actually use.

## What the data jobs cost now

The block reads the cheapest priced endpoint in the catalog when the page loads.

Cheapest live price for the data jobs: live prices per lookup are read from the catalog when the page loads, see https://looot.ai/blog/zoominfo-and-apollo-alternatives-for-agents.

## A prompt to try

This is the ZoomInfo prompt from the replace registry. Give it a short list of companies and check every row before you scale.

Anything that needs to repeat on a schedule needs scheduled runs, which are not available yet. For now you ask the agent to run it when you want fresh data.

## How the two vendors compare

We have a separate page for the two vendors side by side: [Apollo vs ZoomInfo](https://looot.ai/compare/apollo-vs-zoominfo). Use it for the feature view. Use this post for the question of which jobs an agent can take.

For the same split applied to a spreadsheet-style tool, read [Clay alternatives for AI agents](https://looot.ai/blog/clay-alternatives-for-ai-agents).

## Questions

### What are good ZoomInfo alternatives for an agent?

An agent running looot covers company data, people search by title and phone numbers. It does not cover buyer intent signals or maintained org charts.

### Can an agent replace ZoomInfo?

Only the data pulls. Intent data, org charts, seats and a shared workspace stay outside what looot offers.

### What are Apollo alternatives for agents?

An agent can search people by title, find work emails and phone numbers, and enrich company data. It cannot send email sequences or make calls.

### Do Apollo alternatives include email sequences?

Not looot. It does not send campaigns or track replies. Pair the data with a sending tool built for that.

### Do ZoomInfo alternatives sync with a CRM?

Not natively through looot. Your agent writes to the CRM with its own tools, and you set that up and check it.

### How do I choose between ZoomInfo alternatives and Apollo alternatives?

List the features you use. Data you pull can move to an agent. Work done inside the app, such as sending and shared lists, stays in a tool built for it.
